Just make sure you do the adjustment cold, per the manual.

+1 important, I drain the oil hot and adjust the clutch the next AM. If you're having trouble getting the jam nut put it in gear and apply the back brake

The tool kit that came with my '08 had the socket in it, check your kit before you spend the money. Worked for me.

I welded a rod on a socket that acts as a handle. one less tool to have to hold onto.

It doesn't seem likely that you can get a regular wrench at the locking nut with out stripping the crap out of it. Nobody likes stripped nuts so is there a specific tool or any little tricks that you guys and gals can share?

I tried a regular open ended wrench but no dice. I guess one of those new goofy craftsman "dog bone" wrenches might work because the opening will allow easy access to the adjustment screw but I figured I'd ask the experts.

Thanks,
Tony
Harbor Freight offset box-end.
