"for you to trade in your yamaha for a 2010 Street Glide. Most would reply : Between 30 and 60 sec. 6 months" - LOL

Well it took so long because I dropped 18k on her Heritage just after a month of me buying the Yam. I knew I was going to take a bath on the sell/trade of it also. I could have gotten it earlier but I wanted to clear off some other debt. Woohoo no CC's.

Also I kept going back and forth on the Fat boy Lo or the SG. I think I chose right We are planning on doing some long trips this summer and now I am set.

Now she can stop having to "sneak" me into the monthly HOG meetings and make me sit in the back.

WoW what a ride. Riding home it was so smooth and I love the batwing with the instruments.

Only added a couple of items, siren/pager and Reach seat. I went back and forth on the seat but at 29inseam I need something to lower me. I only road about 30miles home but the seat was really comfortable. I could feel when I gave some throttle that I sinked into the seat little but it was still very comfortable. I need careful of the heel/toe shifter. The toe location on my Yam was farther out and I keep kicking air as the SG is right next to my foot. Also when stopped at light, my fillings in my teeth are starting to come out
I figure the idle shake will go down little once I brake it in and goto Syn oil.

Here are a couple of pic's the wife took. I feel like I am sitting like in a chair on the bike, not sure if that means I am too cramped. However since I can foot plant with the reach I do not think it will be a problem. Riding home was very comfortable. I will test it out on longer rides once break in is done. I might get some highway pegs to stretch my legs.
If you have the same pager I do, and you use it often, be prepared to replace the battery often.

Congratulations! Learn to love the shake.....I would be lost without it. We are toying with idea of changing wife from her Yam to HD, everytime she sits on a rigid engine mount model I tell her "it doesn't shake" and she jumps off!

Good luck and enjoy your new scoot, as you start pouring through threads and start adding up the $$$ you will gladly part with to make it your own.

Congrats, I sold my 99 Yamaha Venture and got back on Harley's and thinking back my wife used to make fun of the sound, said the Yamaha "didn't sound right". You got a good wife there, too.
Nice looking bike, lots of great ideas on how to spend your hard earned money right here on the forum. It'll take awhile to get it set up just right for you but it's a fun process as long as you do the research here and don't wind up with a lot of junk on the shelf in your garage.
