Do you keep them on all year round or do you take them off in the summer? If you take them off, at what average temp do they come off and are the hard to remove?

I keep mine on all year...I like the looks and the protection they offer when on the road.

I took the moveable pieces that you can open and shut out. Bike seems to run a bit cooler without them and with the floor board extensions my legs line up with the lowers without the vents.

The only time I take mine off the RG is when we get to Sturgis and I
leave them in the campground until we head back home.
Gets a little too hot out there for some of that stop and go traffic.
Really easy to get them off....I think the quick disconnect HD system is a waste of time and money.

I like the looks of them on and way too much trouble to take off for what you get. I think it's more of a form over function choice.

I don't have lowers yet, plan to get some. However I test rode a SG and Ultra one after the other on a 85 degree day when I was looking for a new bike. The Ultra was clearly hotter to ride and the only difference was the lowers. So I will likely take them off here in summer.
