My point was that it was for your own best interest to get with the program and obey the laws. You don't really want to come off as a Smart A right off the bat when stopped.
As to the insurance liability thing, you need to think on that as the investigation can be very intensive especially if someone dies in the accident. My worst accident was in CA during the 60s when there were no helmet laws. Both legs and both arms were broken along with other injuries when some one ran a red light and I hit her car in the side. Investigation and court involvement were very thourough.
3 states huh? We are talking about adults here, not kids under a certain age that the states require for them to wear helmets you moron. Jesus Christ, get a clue!!!!! Az, Co, Ut, Wy, Sd just to name a few of the "3" states.

actually, not at all. the sticker placed on the outside of the helmet is not the only thind identifying it as a 'dot' helmet. it is also identified on the inside label.

Thats almost as stupid of a statement as "you have a 20k bike with a $20 part".
A high price helmet guarantees you nothing. Besides, what do you care what others wear?

the helmet is an excuse to check for possible DUI or license problems. There must not be any crime going on to worry about stickers on helmets next you will have to have your helmet inspected by the state and state sticker just like your bike tags.

Why don't you just wear a real DOT approved helmet that will offer protection?
Let me ask you, did you remove your real seat belts in your car and replace them with lawn chair webbing? How about the airbags? Did you rip them out and replace them with balloons? I just don't get the point.
HaHAHA. Hysterical ..LOL

There are only 23 states that require all riders to wear a helmet. There are only 3 states that have no helmet law. The rest require people less than age 20 to wear helmets.

I have always worn one and always will regardless of what the law says but that is just me. I don't give a rat's azz if anybody else wears one or not. Then again, I don't care if everybody else wants to beat themself to death with a baseball bat. It's your head, beat the he!! out of it if you want to.

Hey SeeMeDo, please don't give our criminals (politicians) any revenue ideas. Most times people just don't understand the real meaning of "LIVE FREE OR DIE." Let's reform the US in the south, the hell with that supposed government in D.C.

Wearing a non DOT helemt is like having a carry permit and carring an un-loaded gun, not much good when you need it. If I am in a state that requires a helmet might as well wear one that will work if used. Just my HO
