Default 21 front with stock 16 rear

has many people done this? i know many talk about lowering the front 1" with the 21/18 combo but if i leave my rear at stock is lowering the front 2" going to be good enough? if so was almost thinkin of removing the rear and getting chromed and save some money or should i just bite the bullet and do 21/18. also last time i talked to hogpro they were maybe suggesting doing a 17 on the rear. i am starting to do a bit more two up riding but im still by myself most the time. any input would be great. just been fighting on what to spend on the rear for as much of it as you see. also i do have the rear lowered with hd shocks. thanks

I've still got my stock 16" on the rear, I did what I could afford. I couldn't justify another $1500 that you could barely see. Most don't even notice.

My forks were lowered 1" when it was blacked out.

I recently installed some PM Heathens in 21"/17".

I didn't go with an 18" rear because I'm lowered in the rear and didn't want the tire to rub the harness. I had thought the factory size in the rear was 17" so that is what I ordered. Come to find out it"s a 16". No big deal, still looks good. I also went with a 200 rear tire.

well im planning on doing it. My 21" should be here next week. I was going to ride it like that for awhile and get me a solid chrome 18" wheel for the rear later on. All you see is a lip anyway once you drop your bikE and if you get your bags extended you hardly even see that

My '08 SG and my friend's '09 SG both have 21 front and stock rear. We recently dropped the front ends with the HD kit. The main reason that I lowered the front is that the tank went from 6 gallon storage to around 5 gallons. It does ride and look alot better now that the front is lower. I have no current plans to change the rear...to many other things to blow money on.
