Depends on what you are after and expecting. Prices are from the $200 plus range on up. I have run Hogtunes and a great company and product. However, I just wanted more and ended up going to Hawg-Wired and have run them on two different bikes now and love them.
150 watt amp and 70 watt speakers and just NO comparison. I'd do it all over again a 3rd time in a heartbeat!

New J&M amp ((J&M part# JAMP-250HC06)) will be on the J&M website within 48 hours ,,,, and released for sale on/or about 03-31/2010 ,,,,,,

we did a lot of testing/comparing and the new J&M 250w in-fairing mounted amp will outperform all others in this size range, with your fairing mounted speakers, regardless of brand ,,,,, and with the 2-ohm J&M 7.25"s, they absolutely ROCK ,,,, and I would not say that if it wasn't true ,,,

John,
I stopped by your trailer at Daytona and listened to the 250w amp with the 7.25" speakers on the Ultra.
You also had a Road Glide sitting there with just the 7.25" speakers, no amp.

My opinion...the Road Glide setup blew the Ultra setup away.
I was ready to pull in there and take you up on the offer you made here on the forum...but after hearing the difference...............................

Hey Badpiggy was the ultra running 4 speakers? Could that of been the difference? I have hogtunes speakers and want MORE sound... I dont want to lose my tweeter pod, but would swap out the fairing speakers and get a different amp, if I could know for sure that I wouldnt blow my tweeter pods....

I will wait to see if JMjohn chimes in again to answer your question....

I rock the Biketronics BT480 amp and Hertz 6.5" speakers on my RoadGlide. Sounds awesome, loud as I want at speed, with crisp highs and tight bass. Lifetime warranty on all their products is a bonus.

I ran Polk Audio 525's on my Ultra with no amp and have a nice sound envelope. I don't get quite the volume or thump as I do with the two-speaker amp set-up on the RG, but the Ultra has four speakers and less wind noise/turbulence to deal with.

Yes.
BUT...the guy there representing J&M faded the rears totally out.
For an amp that expensive...I just wasn't impressed.

Hay John,
Are you going to have this set up at the Laughlin River Run this April? I have gotten a new 2009 Road Glide last year and are starting all over to customize it.
I hope to see the new amps and the 7.25" speakers there.

I have a 09 Street Glide and put in the ARC Audio amp and speakers. Sounded good, but was blowing the speakers out. I just got the J&M 7.25 speakers from Shawn at Dr V Twin. They work perfect with the amp and sound awsome. My buddy was over helping me tune it and couldn't believe how loud and clear it was. This is the set up. Easy to install and you will hear me for miles now.

Badpiggy ,,,,,,

I don't know how YOUR ears were tuned at Bike Week, but my Ultra with the J&M amp, playing just the FRONT speakers, puts out significantly MORE sound and MORE bass than my RoadGlide does, without the amp ,,,,,

My 2010 Ultra Limited's audio system blew away EVERYTHING that came by the J&M trailer sitting at Rossmeyers ,,,,,

the new J&M Amp is better then the Hog tunes amp ,,,, it also sounds better than anything I have heard from HawgWired ,,,,, and we had more than 3 of those systems come to the trailer also, to compare their system to ours ,,,,

I have had a new Ultra every year since 1989 and my new Ultra LTD with the J&M 7.25s and the new J&M amp is THE BEST I have heard, regardless ,,,,,

so the next time you come by the J&M trailer, look me up and bring your bike over, I want to compare our 2 bikes side by side ,,,,
