Has anyone added anything like this - WOLO Model 418:



Don't know if this would be too long mounted where the stock horn mounts (longest trumpet is 13.5 inches in length)

 

I'm on my third air horn. Started with a trumpet style from Howard Horns. Sound was great but the trumpet style is a big funnel for dirt. The diaphragm would get dirty and you would find out when you needed it, that it didn't work. Clean the diaphragm amd would work great...until you needed it again. Next went with the HD model. Liked it and sounded great but the outside cover came loose and it quit working. Read about other HD horns here doing the same thing. Using the Wolo Bad Boy from Harbor frieght now. It looks as good or better than the HD, sounds better and only cost $50. For $50 I can buy 3 of them for the price of the HD.

On a side note, I have found that since I added the fog lights to the crash bar, people see me now and I don't even use the horn anymore. And I drive across Houston and back in traffic everyday. Consider more light up front. It works great.

I like the idea of the WOLO bad boy from Harbor Freight. Cheap. Thanx guys, That or the Kuryakyn. I'm reaaly as much into the idea for the looks of the trumpets.

 

Are ya'll using the air horn instead of the stock horn?
I like the idea of a LOUD blaster when it's needed, but would want keep the 'toot-toot' as a friendly hailer. Would it be possible to have both??
Was looking at an Auxiliary Switch Housing with a 'horn' switch to control the air horn and keep the stock horn switch for the stock horn.
Would it be possible to move the stock horn up under the gas tank?

Howards Horns. Like stated above, the bells do tend to collect some dirt but after I put the covers on, no more dirt. Loud enough to make a cager come unglued.
