I have it on my Ultra. Never drop key or get it lost if it stays in pocket or tour pak. Also, you don't have to look for your key just to gas up.

I have one, real easy to install. Drop a few drops on oil on the catch every once in a while. U have to play with it at first to work it, once u get it, u will like it. One less thing (unlocking cap) to do during gas stop. I like it because I have left my keys more than once on the pump. Thank God they were when I went back.

Be Safe JIM

I think kbuckz06 is referring to a Road King style pop up, not the cover on the center console like on Road Glides and Electra Glides.
Either way it will not affect the gas gauge. If it is the center console one being referred to, I got the locking type but would get the smooth button type if I had to do it again. This was not hard to install. Instructions were clear. I would say the other pop up type on a Road King (or Fat Bob tank) should not be difficult to install.

Just installed the HD one and I love it! No more looking for keys at gas stops and the button looks cleaner to boot!

If you're referring to the Harley one, I like mine... don't have to mess with a key at fill-up time...

I took my lock off, turned it around and reinstalled it. Now, you press on the back of the door and the lid pops up. Price .00 priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!
