Wiring just plugs in inside the tour pak.

Measure once, drill twice if you have to.

That's what I did

Getting ready to add the Premium Luggage Rack. Looked at the other rack with the lighting, nice but about another $150.... that'll buy me a nice bag to go on the rack.... which is the real purpose. (not that I didn't want the higher priced one) :-)

It's scary to drill on the bike, I installed the fairing mirrors and believe me it was like measuring 100 times then finally gritting my teeth and drilling. I'm sure this will be worse. :-)

Thanks for all the info in this thread.

You don't have to take it off, or take off the lid. Just like the others said just measure carefully several times and then drill a pilot hole first. I did use the template and it worked just fine for me. For the other comment about how you are going to install the rear light bar later, you'll have to take it all off in order to route the wires into the luggage rack. Probably easier just to do it the first time.

You take out the liner and the plug is right there... so simple a caveman could do it.....The instruction sheet is pretty good showing you everything.

I have to put one on in the next week or so. My dealer does not have it in stock so as long as I have to order it, I am looking at the HD Premium and the Kuryakyn one. Anyone installed the Kuryakyn rack?
