I thought they were only allowed to cross at the "deer crossing signs"

 

Buy one. Don't worry about what others say. $6 got nothing to lose. I see more deer in one day than most of these people do in a few years. It will get their attention and if your watching you'll see their eyes a glowing. It helps me alot and like the other poster I drive almost 40 miles one way to work.
