I have the adjustable on my '09 Ultra and I love it. I adjust it all the time when I'm riding on long trips; makes a huge difference.

I have the non-adjustable on my UC. It took a few rides to get it set right, But now I don't even think about moving it. It plus the hwy pegs makes for a comfortable ride. Plus I have the air shields on my bike to keep the twins cool. They would be in the way of mounting the adjustment lever.

Adjustable here on my '09 UC; had an adjustable on my '07 UC. Like the ability to adjust riding position on-the-fly, making riding that much more comfortable (along with my Road Zeppelin Air Adjustable seat )

The heat shields don't interfere with the lever; you just use a different bolt to mount it. Mine has them too.

Adjustable. Had it on my '02 Road King and moved it to my '09 Ultra. Worth the money I spent for sure.

I have the adjustable back rest and I think it is great. It is nice to be able to adjust it on the long rides. I have also demoed a ultra with the standard backrest and I felt that it pushed me too far foward.

I have the fixed one...Once you get the position set right you won't move it....

As far as it pushing someone too far forward, there are 4 bolt holes on the bracket so there is plenty of room to get it set right.
