Default V&H Ovals v Rush 2" baffle slip ons

Hi guys

Right I have been searching all through the exhaust threads on here for a couple of days and just wanted some opinions please. I currently have the V&H Ovals and am finding them a wee bit quiet and tinny sounding. Want something deeper, with that wet slappy sound but necessarily louder and was thinking of the Rush slip ons.

Anyone compared or have experience of these two slip ons. Are the Rush louder or just deeper?

Thanks in advance

I like the Rush 2" mufflers and I'll attach a link to a clip of them on my stock 09 Ultra that may give you some idea of how they sound.

I had Rush with 2" baffles on my 09 EGC. I didn't think the Chrome was very good quality. after about 10K miles they started getting louder. After reading some post on here, I realized the packing was burning out. I have FuelMoto's Jackpot's now. About the same price, maybe cheaper than Rush. The sound is deeper and Quality is much better IMO.

Badfinger and I have the same Rush slip-ons. It's not loud, but deep rumble. Lots of folks here enjoy them at the same time listening to their music tunes while riding.

I'm currently tempting to purchase FuelMoto's 2-1-2 headpipe to make it even more throatier, LOL.

Lots and lots of V & H and Rineheart exhausts running the roads......
The Rush 2.0" have a sound all their own........perfectly happy with
mine, as I've had 'em on for well over 20k miles.
I was standing in the indy's parking lot Sunday as he took my scoot
out for a test ride after servicing it......Dayum, love the sound of them !!!!
Quality of chrome is top notch on my slip-ons

Not dissing either of the other systems.........

I don't know about the 2" but I love the sound of my 2 1/4.. If you go to the web site for rush mufflers, they have a video/sound test of all size baffles, I thought the 2 1/4 sounded the best.. They sound even better after the SE211 cams. Hope this helps and good luck with your search....

Thanks for the responses. The dealer here in the UK recommends the 2" baffle as the head pipe has a cat converter in it. I will probably go with those and campare to what I already have.

Badfinger, thanks for the clip, thats exactly what I wanted to hear!!

Cheers

before using the 2.0" baffle you may want to check with Rush. I talked with them at daytona and the rep said the 2" were to restrictive on my 2010 flhx because of the cat and he told me Rush recommends the 2.5" baffle with the cat still installed

IMO Do away with the cat system...let the motor breathe.. I don't if there are pollution restrictions in U.K. but, if you open up the intake and exaust, tune the bike...... you will be very happy with the sound and performance
