Wondering if the sundowner seat has that annoying
stupid a** passenger hump HD put in the design,
pondering a purchase and thought to
long about a Mean City mod,

Passenger hump?

I've got a sundowner and it doesn't fit well on my 09 SG at all.

 

I got an 08 RKC, and Sundowner, not sure what you mean by hump. The seat foam is deeper than on my stock seat, the pan is wider, for both driver, and passenger.

It is curved pretty good for my wife, not from my wife. Nice deep bucket for me. I sit about an inch closer to the ground than before. I had a Corbin dual tour on my last bike. Sundowner is as good of a seat.

 

I'v got one. 2 up classic mine's fine no complaint's here.And it looks good . on a 06 R K CLASSIC.

 

Maybe hump was a bad description, but it started with the 08 touring models.
The passenger portion makes a gradual rise towards the hole for
drivers backrest, really painful for the Mrs.
Was wondering if the sundowner was relatively flat in that portion
of the seat.You can sort of see it in the pic attached.

 

I have a sundowner seat on my 06 RoadKing Classic. Very comfy and sit a little lower to the ground. Looks great also and the wife is happy

 

There is no hump in the sundowner, the passenger pilon is nice and flat. I have one on my 09 SG. It fits great on the bike and moves me an inch towards the ground. You can see the seat (kinda) in my sig pic.

 

My Sundowner is flat for the passenger, my girlfriend loves it as do I.

 

Sundowner on my 09 SG fitle like a glove and is super comfy. No complaints from the back seat either.

 

Although I don't have a passenger I do have a Sundowner and theres no hump that you are describing. Had a solo Sundowner on my Street Bob and found one for the Street Glide here from a fellow member and decided to jump on it. Glad I did.
