i think its a great seat, the only complaint i had was the passenger had a tendency to slide foward when u hit bumps and became very annoying to me and the passenger. for the rider its great, best seat IMO for touring bikes. but i had some complaints about the back seat

Got a Sundowner for my '09 UC and wife and I didn't like it the flat you are talking about made it so when I hit the brakes my wife was forced toward the backrest. We are short and heavy and the Sundowner didn't work for us but that is just us, nothing is for everyone.

I have a Sundowner on my '09 and it is very flat where the passenger sits, very cushioned as well. It moved me a little forwrd and down, has better lower back support and makes me sit more upright. All in all very comfortable.

Funny you should mention that. I know just what your talking about, because that seat hump always bothered my wife as well on HD seats.

No, the 08-up sundowner does NOT have it, its pretty much flat on the passengers section. Its (IMHO) the best touring seat HD sells.

I tried one on my 09 ultra classic and had to take it back for a refund. It sits lower which is fine but it also sits you further back which I didn't like. Had to lean forward too much to reach the handlebars comfortably.
