Default Arnott air ride pressure question

Ok, so i dug around and read a bunch of articles and visited their site. One question i have is about the ride when the air is low and high. Is the ride mushy when the air is low? Is the ride firm when the pressure is high? Or do they have some kind of magical technology that makes it ride great at all levels of pressure? I'm thinking this could be a good way to drop the rear but still have a nice cushy ride. Right now i ride with about 24lbs in the stock FLTR shocks. The Arnott package i'm looking at is the $599 version in black.

From what I've seen on my buddies scoot, it's mushy with less air and more firm with more air. My buddie fills his shocks while jumping up and down on the seat until he gets the firmness he wants. Stands to reason...............

The cool this is you can find what ride you want but I do suggest getting ones with dampening capabilites makes a huge differnec. I would not have like them so much if my did not have the dampening adjustment. Arnoot suggests to fill while off of the bike untill it stops raising the bike. Then go from there up or down depending on your load and riding conditions. To not have the dampening the rebound was to quick when your air up for a load two up and what not. When the bike is un weightd over a bump you can hear and feel the shocks get slammed to their full extension limits.

With mine if it's all the way down the it rides like a ridged, a hard ride and bouncy, if it's all the way up then it's to hard because it's to firm.

Arnott says 1" from the bottom is usually the best and I like it best about 1 1/2" from the bottom, I ride solo and commute most days to work and back.

I haven't tried the gauge yet, which is in 10 pound increments but I will soon.

i've had this system for about 2 years now and love it. by myself i have the shocks set at about 70psi, when the wife is along i just add about 5psi. i put an autometer gauge in place of the air temp gauge(doesn't quite match but oh well) and a switch in the panel next to the ignition switch. works great.

Let me know if you need discounted pricing on a system. I don't have a bagger yet to put it on. But one day I will.

I just ordered a set but skipped the gauge because I didn't think I needed it. Now I'm wondering if I should have. How well do they work setting them by "feel"?

I use the frame mounted switch w/gauge,Use 50 lbs. when solo/60-70 lbs w/2 up.Find the ride firm but not overly so.

Once you figure out where you like having them set it is no problem. I count to 25 to set my air ride which has no gauge. Never has been an issue for me. Drew
