Engine missing

Not to pile on but....unfiltered air? A la hair dryer/clothes dryer/fan/window air conditioner or like breathing? If it's good enough for my lungs its good enough for my Harley!

If you washed it with a pressure washer, better check the axel bearing grease. I know folks who have had bearing failure which leads to axel failure which leads to crashes, caused by water penetration from a pressure washer.

Have you looked everywhere? An engine doesn't just go missing all by itself. Maybe a neighbor or friend borrowed it.
Sorry. Couldn't resist the way this thread was going ...
Check for cracks in your plug wires and be sure to blow out the plug wire ends at the coil. The dielectric grease is a good suggestion too.

Yeah, I learned a lesson the hard way I guess. I'm going to find the initial problem, then get the axles re-greased ASAP! Thanks for the input.

Use care so you dont get overspray on your paint etc. Unfortunately your bike will need to be washed again (this time using only a limited amount of water pressure).

Mike everybody is looking at wet electrics. Did you mess with the plug wires when washing or drying? Also, you may have purchased bad gas or allowed enough moisture to build up and after you washed the moisture accumulated. If you check out the electrics and problem still persists use a gasoline additive. Good Luck.
