I am gonna leave my crash bar off for now, getting fender back from paint shop. Ordered the Kuryakyn Cruise Arm Mark IV (7845) will see how those work out for now. If there was an engine guard that mounted flat to the frame I dont think it would be a problem.

I know this an old thread... I'm interested to know how it turned out. I have a 2000 RK and lowered it 2" in the front with a stock wheel at the moment. The crash bar clearance is really close. I removed the crash bar for now, but it would be nice to have one (amazing how those things save your bike)I have a 21" wheel I'm installing. I wonder if I'm going to have to take it up an inch. I like it low.
