For the infinitely adjustable version, 08 and later:

58156-08, Dark Smoked
58166-08, Lightly Smoked

Now tell me where I can get them for less that $110 with shipping, and we are even. LOL!

I put on a 6" LRS with recurve (nice shield by the way) to see if that would help and the problem actually got worse. All the turbulence is coming from underneath. I wear perscription goggles and a half helmet and the buffeting above 60 can get to the point where it shakes my googles and badly distorts my vison, not to mention trying to rip my helmet off my head.

My question is more of which ones to go with. If the freedom wings are as effective as the HD version, I'll go that route and save $40 bones. I like the outside shape of the Kuryakan version and wonder if they are more effective than both the HD and FW?

Thanks again to all for the input.
I am the same size and I have the Freedom Wings that I use in the summer only. My opinion is more air is deflected onto the rider that the HD or Kury models. I wasnt too impressed with the fit of the Freedom Wings when closed. I like the look without them much better.

Thanks. But I don't think I can pull that price off.

The shape is the same for earlier Bat wings and they just have 3 mount holes the new ones have 4. You can mount them and drill out the forth hole and place a nut inside the fairing and then hot glue it in place and it will be the same as the 08 and up models.

never had experience with others but i really like the hd ones that came on my 09 ultra. they give you a lot of control over the air flow. i'm sure the others do too.

I bought an '09 ultra last August. They came on the bike. I swore I would rip them off before the end of the week as I like a clean look. Well , it was hot , I was riding every day, tomorrow would be the day etc. I don't like the way they look. After messin w/them a while, I found they really gave me a blast of air in the chest w/o the onslought rush of air, drag your helmet off, bug in your face feel. Kinda like my first experience with a (police) windshield. I took the lowers off because I felt like I couldn't feel where the road was with all this stuff in front of me.Well I put the lowers back on for the winter, lowered the wings, and plugged in my vest and gloves. My how comfortable. I'm leaving the wings on. I might take the lowers off for the summer. Hell....at 56, I'm built for comfort,...I can remember the day when I thought saddlebags and windshields were for old men. All I had was bungies and a bench seat.....now I'm thinkin a trailor hitch, ...my younger brother has a trailor I might want to borrow.....go for the comfort man,...like I always said..." It's like sittin in an easy chair, strapped to the hood of a cadillac, movin down the road at 60 miles per hour"......CM

Default Batwing fairing air deflectors - update

After a lot of good input from the group, I went ahead with the HD adjustables. Just took it for a test ride in low 40's with 20-25 mph winds. The result is nothing short of amazing! The buffeting is gone and I am a happy camper!! Thanks to all for the help.

I had the Kuryakyn's ands I liked them, they matched my old 6" windvest and then changed them to the HDs when I bought my 8" LRS so that the dark smoked matched better. Don't have any experiance with Freedom but I can say I like the fact that the HDs don't tend to rattle and easier to use when goin down the road.
