Stripped Caliper bolts heads
Doing brake pad inspection on my ’08 Ultra
The 12 point 10mm bolts on the left side came off fine, the two on the right side stripped the heads, either they were over torque or they used red locktite!
Now WTF do I do?
Looking at drilling out the bolt heads, pull the front wheel, at that point I should be able to pull the caliper off to the inside. I than can get a channel lock on the stub and maybe turn it out. If it doesn’t want to come use some heat.
What do you think? Need ideas here.
THANKS

Had same problem. Was going to drill out but thought I would try brute force and ignorance 1st. Got an allen head socket that was very close but slightly oversize to the star head (dont know the size or even if it was metric) and drove it in with a hammer. Then applying lots of compression load turned it and out it came. sort of like an easy out. Disclaimer - do at your own risk.
