1800 miles on mine and I am getting 39.2-39.7. I rarely use 6th and I ride a little harder than the average rider and I love to hear those M/O's bark!

I'm getting 38-40. I use 6th quite a bit above 50, and no, as long as I'm on level ground, that's not lugging it at all.

I got a chuckle out of that one....I've usually given up on getting the friggin tank completely full -- much more difficult than my '07 to get the last 1/2 gallon or so in.

My mileage mirrors what others are saying here, and my son's '10 Street Glide gas mileage is also a little disappointing, and much less than factory specs. Gotta be going down hill to match those figures -- the run on Hwy 12 West, from Lolo Pass, is the only place I've gotten anywhere near 50 MPG! (Best ride in the northwest, IMHO -- 100 miles of river-grade, high speed twisties!)

No. Actually it does pretty good in 6th all way down to 55 mph or so.

I can/will only do that if the road is level, and if there is not a big headwind. I am very careful to add throttle as I accelerate, but it does it quite easily, even 2 up.

I just went over 4500 miles on mine. Straight highway driving at 75-80 1 up is averaging around 43. 2 up, 70-75, 38.

Last four tanks averaged 40.7 combined highway, rural and sitting in f***in Atlanta traffic.

And I use 6th gear from about 57 and up if it's on a level road. Below 55 I say in 5th.

+1, don't forget the 09 and newer have the lower gearing, 6th isnt as tall as 07 and 08, I'll pull 55 easy, 2 up, under light throttle, if you want to accelerate hard from there it would require a downshift

I find at high altitude and 50 mph speeds in 5th gear I've pulled some tanks of gas in excess of 50 mpg, high speed interstate 80+ have dropped as low as 38, never below that.
