Default Harley O-ring sizes available anywhere?

Seems quite stupid to (1) either have to go to HD to get replacements, or (2) take the o-ring(s) to a hardware store and try to match to the correct size to a goofy little chart that doesn't provide one a lot of confidence that the match is exact.

So, does anyone know of a chart that gives the exact o-ring specifications for 2006 (or similar year) Ultra that will replace the HD o-rings? I find it hard to believe that nowhere does such a chart exist. I believe many others on this forum would also like to know this and not have to make a guess at the hardware store.

Thank you.

Perhaps I was not clear enough. O-rings come in sizes just like bolts do. There is nothing special about a Harley o-ring. So let's say that the HD engine drain plug o-ring is this: Standard number: -013, ID 7/16, OD 9/16, CROSS SECTION 1/16. Then, I could just go to the hardware store and get the exact replacement. Now, does anyone know if there is a chart available that lists the generic o-ring equivalent for Harley's o-rings?

Check out this thread. I get mine from dawg. I usually grab a handful from his stash when he's not looking.

There's a past post somewhere that lists an item # for the o rings at Home Depot.

I bought a box of assorted o rings from Harbor Fright. They have always worked just fine.

Same here. They work just fine. It's not rocket science.

Just make sure the ones you get are oil compatible. Some plumbing ones in a hardware store are only for sealing water and sewage. Viton and neoprene are the best for petroleum products.

The OP wanted a cross reference for o-rings. I too am wondering if there is one somewhere, not just for the drain plugs o-rings, but for all of the various o-rings used internally in the engine, tranny and primary.

If they are the same size as the '09 the LOwe's part # is 0576 in the plumbing section $.58 for three.
