I am at 50K on my 06 Ultra and the extended warranty has paid for itself. Cam chain tensioners, stereo, voltage regulator, steering head bearings to name a few. If you are going to put miles on the bike then buy the warranty. As for engine changes; whatever you are going to have done do it when you buy the MC new and use HD parts. The extended warranty will cover all changes provided they were done at time of sale.

 

Doesn't seem necessary in your case since you mentioned your anticipated miles of use.But if you gona ride the crap out of it I would say yes go ahead make them pay back every penny and more they gona charge you.

Thanks folks you have given me alot to think about... seems like the biggest worry in the first 2 years are flat tires,, Harley does not offer just the wheel/tire but it is available aftermarket for less $$ and same coverage that can fixed any m/c tire dealer. Dealers ( i checked a few will not offer me any discount on the coverage. I am sure the profit/mark-up is close to $1000.00...So I guess I am gonna wait and see ..Thanks again all
