Default Bag lid covers

I was at the local HD store and saw the saddle bag lid covers, pretty nice with logo and all but they attach with velcro and they're made in CHINA!
Hey HD, I'm going to buy the Mustang lid covers, same price and made here. I'm going to support the people that make accessories HERE in the USA. The job you save may be your own has never been more true.

I have the HD lid covers. Not too impressed with quality for what I paid. Most of the attachment strips were worn through or well worn where they go under the lid to attach to the inside Velcro after only a couple of years. Will be interested to hear how the Mustang ones stand up. Have stopped the wife from putting on any more scratches when she gets on

I looked at both and the Mustangs seemed to fit tighter so the looked better. I am happy with them. Only had for a few months so don't know how they will hold up.
Now I can relax when my girlfriend tries to throw her short leg over the seat.

I had the Harley covers. They were Ok, but had the same issues of wear under the lids after several years of use. Additionally, the velcro had to be reset often as the strips shifted in the heat of the day. I replaced the HD covers with the Mustang covers with studs to match my seat this past Christmas. The Mustang covers are better quality, fit tighter and do look better, I think.

I've got the HD ones and am quite satisfied with the fit and finish of them. I put them on and take them off several times a year. The velcro has held up just fine.
