They suggest the 525 cams for the 09 streetglides because of the 1st and 2nd gear on these bikes.I have the 500 cam in my 08 streetglide. This cam kicks ***!Had the 34 cam in my 03 road king,I was getting more horse and torque then my buddies andrews and s and s cams.

Yes, the HQ 525 is specifically ground for the 09 and 10 bikes and their gearing. Will work well in other applications but designed with them in mind.

vtwinbmx, i can't believe that your torque is dropping off at only 3300 rpm's?? iclick did a great write up on cam install a couple of months ago. just gotta study what kind of riding you do, and what sort of cams will fit your needs. you sure wouldn't want torque that peaks at a rev range that you don't use. there's nothing wrong with se cams at all. other than the stock cams that have the lobes pressed on, rather than part of the original camshafts. the newer stock harley cams do have the lobes pressed on. i didn't believe it till i saw the ones which came out of my 08.

Odd that you would have persuaded your friend not to use SE cams but do not know what to advise him to buy. Did you steer him away from SE because of the chain drive?

You don't know what he should use, but you're sure he shouldn't use SE? Why?

That is not my bike that is a stock 96 with TW6-6 cams. For everyday riding you rarely break into the high RPM's this is a great came for the amount of power it provides where most ride. I have a 103 build and use the SE251 cams. You are right nothing wrong with the SE products. I have almost 20K on my build and she is still running strong.
