Not with the stock fender. That is unless you want to get the holes filled from the stock fender tip light and have the fender repainted. If you want to do all that then it will work with no problem.

Lots of HDF'ers have done this mod on '08 and older Touring models. On those that have a rear fender tip light like your Ultra, most simply replace the fender with one from an '04 to '08 Road Glide, Road King Custom, or '06-'08 Street Glide.

Since your Ultra uses the bike's tour pak wiring harness to provide power and ground to the tour pak lights, you will have a wiring issue to address for providing power and ground to the SG fascia LED since a stock SG uses the bike's tour pak harness to supply power and ground.

If you search back some theads, you will see a solution by using the run/brake LED from the tri-bar fender extension and using the connector on that LED to plug into the circuit board behind the tail light lens that is currently used by your fender tip light, but would not be in use after removing the light to install the fascia/LED.

Called H.D. of Cincy today and gave him part # 59739-09, told him to enter the paint code for my bike and yes by god he said its on its way! Ordered the bar lite and brake lite for it to. I will try the 3m tape method install, and hope I can get my Arlen Ness Bag ext. molded into my stock bags and painted up in about a week!

Carl
And where might that be on an '09 FLHT?

Just got around to installing mine on my RG. Chris Cruz in Deland, FL color matched the facia as HD did not have the part in my paint code (SG never came in my color). Used 3M double sided tape and the tour pack plug under the left side cover for the run/brake light. All in all, I'm happy!

Looks GREAT! Color is spot on, installation looks good. I have run several thousand miles with the 3M tape, in temps as high as 93F and no problems so far! One of the least expensive, best mods you can do to the Touring bikes IMO...I got the plugs from HD and fashioned a 3 way connector so I couls also plug my tour pak lights in the same place. Total cost about $5

Default One thing leads to another

First the rear fascia, then the streched bags, and now the SG wheels. I bolted the fascia since I didn’t trust two sided tape.
