Default Bought a "new to me" bike!

Just bought a 2005 Road King Custom. Had a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 before this and that was my first bike. Now I understand why people ride Harley Davidsons. My first ride was only a 20 mile ride, but my god. It took a little getting used to, but I'm so glad I'm getting used to this bike. At this point I don't think I'll ever need to get used to another bike. But I do need some new handlebars, those beach bars kill my wrists!!! Any suggestions? (ape hangers aren't for me). Hopefully I'll have better pictures this weekend with all the good weather we should be getting.

Congrats, Glad you joined the "American Iron" group! LOL, I haven't rode a King vary far, but those wide handle bars do seem ungainly. Not sure how they compare to my SG, but they are definitely different than my FXST's "Pull back" style bars..and would take some getting used to.

Great looking bike and congratulations on your first Harley. A Road King was also my first Harley. I had bought $2500 worth of accessories and had them waiting in the garage before I even got the bike home. That was 6 bikes back from the one I have now. You have a whole new way to spend your hard earned money!!!

Enjoy the bike, ride safely.

Ha, it seems a common theme among these threads is money...and I can already see why...good thing I'm 20 and have the rest of my life to save up to buy more parts and everything.
