Default Newbie Question (exhaust)

I've had my '07 FLHP about a year. I've been running it stock that whole time. Last night I put on Rush slip-ons (2.25" baffles), Fuel-Pack fuel management system, and SE stage 1 air cleaner. I'm pretty happy with the sound and performance. However, I've noticed significantly more exhaust flow out of the right side than the left. Should I be concerned?

Welcome to the forum. What you are describing is perfectly normal. Less exhaust flow will come out of the left side because of the crossover on the exhaust.

On a related note, some like the True Duals to even out the exhaust flow becuase it looks better, sounds better, and reduces some heat issues. The truth of the matter is you will have better performance on the bottom end with your current setup.

Installing the fuel-pak was a nightmare. I am sure you are all familiar with the plastic bracket that the ECM is mounted two? There are two allen head bolts that hold the ECM in place. The nut that secures the allen head bold to the plastic bracket is embedded in the plastic bracket. Well... one of the nuts stripped out in the plastic bracket so the bolt and nut just spin in the bracket. I was able to get one of the bolts free and mounted the fuel pak with one bolt. I am not happy with that part of the mod. I had heard that installing fuel management systems doesnt always go smooth.

I have an 07 Ultra and had the same issue with the stripped brass insert in the bracket spinning. Drill the head off the bolt giving you a problem, hit what is left of it with a punch to drive it out. Then press the brass insert back in with pliers or vise and get cha a new stainless bolt from the local hardware supply. Been a few years since I did this and is how I remember fixing the problem...
