Default Grip installation

I bought a set of grips from HD for my 06 FLHX and was going to slap these on. The directions are far from adequate though.

The left side is explained fair enough to get on , but the right side instruction are just not there. All steps just refer you to the service manual.

I went on-line to see what the directions there indicate, but they are the same.

Anyone have a complete set of instructions or am I finally gonna have to break down and get a sevice manual?

Gonna have to get a service manual. You should have one anyway. You will have to collapse the adjusters on the cables and slacken the cables in order to get the ferrules out of the grip.

Not that big a job. I changed the grips on a Heritage today...maybe 1/2 hour total?

It's also prudent to have a spare ferrule or two handy 'cause they are easy to drop and lose when disassembling/reassembling the grips. P/N 56508-76; they're cheap job interruption insurance.
