Default 08 street glide tire life

Can't do a search when on my iPhone for some reason. How many miles are on your original 08 street glide tires? I hit 11,000 and think I'm due for a rear. Starting to slip and slide a little. How much to replace? I was thinking about $200. Any brand better than the other. Sorry again I can't do a search right now. Just bored at work.

Not sure why no responses on this yet...I have an 09....so different tires. But my rear is at 11K and I need a rear badly.

Most 08 guys are using the Dunlop Elite 3 or Metzler ME 880 and some claim longer tread life.

I know your tire is a little bigger. Thought I was supposed to get closer to 14k. Oh well. Better safe than sorry.

Changed rear at 14,000 miles. Still have orig front with a little over 20,000 on it. Put another 402 on back. Next set will most likely be E3's

Default my tire sucked.

I only got 4500 out of my rear tire. And no i did not do burn outs. I think the stock is a **** poor tire. I went with the Pirelli Night Dragon on my street glide and could not be happier. one of the best tires i have owned. it was 38 and raining here yesterday and i had the opportunity to ride about 30 miles and enjoyed everybit of it thanks to that tire.

Crash!!!

I have 10500 on my rear 08 tire...I could probably get about 2000 more before I replace it, but I am going to go ahead and replace it before I head to thunder beach end of april!

I got 12,000 on my stock tire and 17,000 on the Michelin Commander I replaced it with. Much better tread life on the commander. On my second Michelin now.
