Thanks for any info.

IMO lexan is tougher and meater for lack of better term, the poly is less meater but strong and as mentioned before can be formed, but it is easy to scratch. I just installed a polycarbonate from LRS. See some pics at this link.

I'm confused by your post. Poly = lexan.

LRS are a modified acrylic.

Ok..then i'm going to throw this out...what is the difference between acrylic and modified acrylic...is the modified acrylic as 'good' as the lexan safety wise?

I've been trying to break my old record of how long I can stare at your avatar, but I think I have to work tomorrow so I might have to cut it short again.

Thanks for this video.

I just got back from Bike Week in Daytona and picked up a 7.25" VStream windshield from National Cycle - their tent at Destination Daytona.

So how does it compare to the stock Street Glide windshield? Hard to say. One thing I noticed was with the stock shield the "pounding" of the wind on my ears is constant; with the VStream it's not. But I do get it with the VStream every so often. However, to be fair, I was riding at 70-80 mph on the way home and there was some nasty cross winds on the highway. So my initial test wasn't under the best circumstances.

Actually I have confused myself. I meant to say mod acrylic. Lexan is actually a brand name of polycarbonate. So my description would be the same except for saying poly when should be mod acrylic.

If a picture = 1000-words, that video is worth 10,000!

Thanks for the information....how does the IMA compare to the Acrylic. Is it really any better...will it bend but not break like the ploy?
