Default H D Heated Grips

I installed the HD Contoured Chrome and Rubber Custom Heated Hand Grips, 56512-02C by myself. Work very good so far, only have 400 miles on the bike with them on. I have the HD heated jacket liner, heated gloves and HD Competition II jacket. I run the Brosh hand covers with the heated grips. I have RSD in my right arm and hand. I have never used the gloves. With no heavy gloves on, I can control the bike much better. I like the way they work with the Brosh covers in place. I have the heat on some level all of the time. I hope they have a long life. 2003 FLSTCI Heritage.

HD grips installed when I bought the bike. Use them a lot in cool and cold weather and wouldn't be without them. About 37,000 miles and no problems. A couple of friends had some problems with theirs but fixed under warranty.

I just got the limited about a month ago. We all laughed about HEATED GRIPS in HAWAII! I am now a big fan. I have a plate a a bunch of screws in my left wrist so it gets a little sensitive. That warmth is great on cool nights of even wet rides. Not to mention the COLD WET NIGHTS! The other people who posted that the grips get hot are right. I can only go to about a two and a half setting max but it is nice. Give it a try, you'll probably like it.

Yes, I am a fair weather, poser biker, that is not really rain, it's a free bike wash (did I mention that I am cheap?).

I've had them on two bikes, this one for about 15,000 miles and love them. They are not magic, however, so the back of your hand can get a bit chilly at times from being in the wind. Mine are the all rubber kind. I was told that they transmit the most heat.

I live on the Gulf Coast and our winters can be chilly because of high humidity. I solved that problem with a pair of hand protectors from National Cycle. They attach to the mirror mount and come off as soon as the weather breaks. They protect your hands from the wind, and when coupled with the HD heated grips work quit well.

I installed a set of HD heated grips on my ultra. After working about half the time for a few months they totally quit working within 6 months. I now have Gerbing's jacket liner and glove liner that work much better for me.

Sure looks like they are liked, but the HD's just dont last. Thanks for all the info, I think I'll get some from brand X!

I just put on some leather lace up grips, had some good cold weather gloves and I was good all winter. Of course we don't have long winters in NM, 63 and sunny today.
