I have them on the Limited. This is the first time I've had them. I always thought they wouldn't be worth the money but they work very well at keeping heat in your gloves. And they get very hot when you turn them all the way up. I still think getting a good pair of heated gloves is the best bet if you're riding in cold weather a lot.

I have them and will not have a bike without them again. I have them ON almost all the time, turn the heat down in the summer but still just slightly warm.I have the HD ones on the bike since new Oct 07. I have had them in for reapirs 3 times in 2years, the last time 2 days before the warranty ran out, so they havent been trouble free but I haven't had to pay yet. It is out of warranty now so next repairs are mine. They help with arthritis and achey joints for me

I might have to try them after reading some of the replies. I've using the plug in heated HD gloves for quite a while and they work great, but are a pain in the azz to hook up and run thru my jacket while trying to work around all the other winter riding apparel.

I had them installed on a 2009 FLHR after using them for years on BMW motorcycles. Hard install on the new throttle by wire bikes but worth it in my opinion.

As others have mention, the limited comes with the heated grips standard, and prior to the snow flying I was using mine set at "3". Any higher tended to fry my hands even in my gloves.
I can't imagine running them on full - seems they'd melt the grips ;-)

The big advantage heated grips have over heated gloves is the grips are always there on the bike - just in case.

Looking forward to trying them out again during the spring...

Jim

As many have said, they are stock on my Limited. I've put a little over 4,000 miles on it since picking it up in late December. They are perfect for N. GA winters. The highest I've ever had mine is 3. I wear a pair of insulated Hugger gloves, and my hands have been warm all winter, even in mid-20 temps. Paired up with a heated vest and heated seat and I'm toasty...

I didn't think they were that big of a deal but they came with the bike. After riding with them over the winter I think they are definately worth it. They are always there and with just my normal riding jacket, an electric vest and normal riding gloves I am good down to the thirties.

I have the HD flamed heated grips, LOVE them! I wish I had installed them long ago. I have heard that you should turn them off before starting you bike so that they last longer, was on these forums somewhere... Anyway get them you wont regret it.
