"TittiesOnTwo" you'll love the seat. Mine is leather not vinyl. It will feel firm at first but give it some break in time it will fit your butt and you'll not want anything else. Get the driver backrest or at least have them install the hardware in the seat pan. I didn't and I plan on riding to Key West in April from KC. Now I wish I had the rest for such a long trip.
SBJJC - I was at C&C and was able to try a seat out before i ordered. They are local enough to you that you could do the same. I am really happy with my seat. 2" further back from stock.

Mine will be leather as well. CHuck was so nice and helpful! I can't say enough about their customer service and pricing. I have a local guy but what I wanted was going to cost twice as much and take several months to do. Just seemed silly to me.
I didn't get the backrest. I am too short to sit all the way back or lean back. I come from riding horses and sportbikes so I am more comfortable carrying my weight upright anyway I should have my seat the end of next week and I can't wait to post up some pics!
Mine has both removable backrests and gel for driver and passenger. I was surprised how comfortable it was - did 680 miles in a day with no monkey butt. I found the narrower nose to be far more comfortable than the wider seat.
C&C solo for me, in vinyl, with backrest. Chuck just made me a custom rear pillion as well, that is on the UPS truck as I type. Should be here on Monday. It's supposed to be almost 14 inches wide. Looking forward to getting it, and seeing how it looks.
