No need to use a buffer on fine scratches; use something like Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. It's a liquid, goes on and off easily and I use it all the time on my Vivid Black Ultra, as it waxes and removes fine scratches all in one shot. I even use it on the windshield...

For fine scratches, Nu Finish Scratch Doctor does an excellent job.

hey you might want to try clay bar and wet wax, maguiars do some as a kit.
I know a lot of the guys on the custom car scene that use the stuff and swear by it, I dont know if others in here have tried it.>??

I'd use a mild scratch cleaner, Mothers or Meguiars Scratch X. Follow with your regular wax or polish.
