Default How do you tell a back wheel from a front wheel

I have 3 wheels that are supposed to fit my 2001 road king (16x3). There are no rotors or pulleys on any of them. One of them is supposed to be a rear wheel and the other 2 are suposed to be front wheels. They all look the same to me. How do you tell?

Larger bolt holes for the pulley.

The front wheels have the same size bolt holes for rotors on each side, 5/16" I think, while the rear wheel has that size for the rotor on one side & larger bolt holes on the other side for the pulley, also I think the front hubs are chrome & the rears aren't.

Nope..... I think in 01 you should have 5/16 for front rotors and rears should be 3/8 on rotors and 1/2 on pulley

Question another possible clue

On my '08 Ultra stock 9 spoke wagon wheels, when I disassembled them for chroming I noticed that the rear wheel hub was ever so slightly off set from center. The front wheel hub was dead center (dual rotors). This may also be true of the older bikes. I think it's the same wheel other than the hub/bearing size.
