buy dealer rental bike?

Id ask for the service records as mentioned above. Then I'd take it for a test ride and look it over really well. Basically just like any bike I'd buy used. I dont think there's an inherent risk in buying a rental that isnt there when buying another used bike. Either you like the bike or not, if the price is right... I wouldn't shy away just because of the dealer rental part, thats my .02

I do not purchase rentals. Its like a roll of the dice picking up a rental. No one knows the complete history, including the dealer, how the bike was treated while it was off the property. Plus, it already has 20K on the odometer. If you do go with that bike, get some kind of fender to fender warranty from the dealer.
