I use the wipes from Harley they seem to work pretty good.

Throw a wet towel on my windshield to soften the bugs,then Plexus and a microfiber rag.

RainX ruined a stock HD windshield for me. Clouded it instantly-looked like dried water spots but they wouldn't come off. My own fault-should have read the instructions and warnings.
