Stretched bag bottoms on my SG
Anybody here put on a set of HD stretch bag extensions (p/n 90999-0?
They seem like a fairly low cost way of getting the bag dragger look, as opposed to stretched bag bottoms
Please post some pics if you did! Anyother ideas to pull of the same thing?
Thanks.

..... i think the extensions that MoCo sells are color matched & intended to have a reveal @ the seam. At least that's the way the SERG bag seems to look.

I used KW, I still want to block and wet sand once more because when we initially sprayed them then baked them the ABS flexed at a different rate than the panel bond and fiberglass which revealed the seam a little. It will drive me crazy so I am gonna re-paint and clear once more w/o cooking em. I know mine are just extensions but they stretch more than the real bags from MB or TS so actually I prefer them now. If you go to my album you can see some pics.

+1. Instead of investing all that $$ and effort into putting on faux extensions, why not just buy stretched bags that will probably look better in the long run and actually give you more space in them?

You can also look at 2009 SE Road Glide pics (or see the bike in person; it's very distinctive) to see the bag extensions.
Although they are low cost, HD chose to use them only on that 2009 SE Road Glide; and, went with new, extended saddlebag bottoms rather than a bolt on extension on the 2010 SE Street Glide. Those new extended bottoms are available from HD for $1299 list.
Good luck with your research and project.
