Easy pull clutch - any good???
I have an 04 FLHTC, rode a 06 for a week on a fly and ride... Great feel to the clutch.. Have a good friend that just had HD put their HD easy pull clutch on his Road King (not sure what year) Anyway, he called tonight to ask if I put my kit in yet - NO... He said after his kit was installed, he really can not feel where it is all that much easier???? Any thoughts on this or is my friend just getting to that age???? LOL

I have the EZ Clutch kit in from white bros. and the difference is very noticeable. I use to switch to nuetral on lights cause my hand couldnt take that kind of pressure for long time. But now I can hold the clutch in at lights with no problems and my hands do not hurt no more.

I don't have any personal experience with the kit, but I was at the HD dealer getting my bike serviced and an older gentleman was getting it installed. When they rolled his bike out and let him try it out, you would have thought they gave him a new bike. The gentleman was very pleased with the results and I think I saw his eyes well up with tears (well maybe not that moving, but he was happy).

The easy pull clutch is standard on my '06 E-Glide. It is just as easy as some of the dirt bikes I had back in days of yore. I like it. On long rides through many stop lights I LOVE it. I'm not one of those ham fisted guys who could squeeze a diamond out of a piece of coal.

RE: Easy pull clutch - any good???
I've used the WhiteBros E-Z Clutch for years and it makes a huge difference.
We did install one on a buds EG because his clutch pull was terribly stiff. After install, I thought it still sucked but he was happy. His problem was actually the cable. In addition to EZ clutch, don't forget to keep the cable lubed properly. I made an apparatus that encloses the "lever end" of the cable and allows me to connect it to a grease gun and force actual grease down into the cable, rather than just spraying cheezy graphite impregnated oil down into it (which lasts all of about a week).
So, my suggestion would be to lube or replace the cable on the one that does not show dramatic improvement with the E-Z Clutch. I would also recommend the WhiteBros (Burly Brand) version of the EZ clutch over the HD, as the lever is slightly longer and does not require replacing the diaprham spring with a weak one.
