Best riddin' bike HD makes period.

I'm 5"6" and I had to change the bars and put on a Mustang seat.
Just got back from a 2500 mile ride. Only stopped when I needed gas.

Rent one for the weekend and go for a LONG ride.

BTW - I can easily do 18' figure 8's with it too!

I've owned Electra Glides, Street Glides, Road Glide's and presently own a Road King. Hands down the Road Glide is the best handling touring bike in the family. To me there isn't even a comparision. Naturally thats just my oppinion. If I put any miles on these things that I used to I wouldn't own anything but a Roadie. But I don't and today it's more about style and function and the Road king fit's the bill for me. But if you like to pack it up and put any miles on these things, do yourself a favor, jump on a Road Glide and don't turn back. Later.........Rich

BTW, I'm 5'-10" tall bare footed; for reference anyhow. And the stock RG windshield was about the right height, but still had bad turbulence in my full face helmet.

However, I am searching for an EVO powered Tour Glide for my next project.

I think they (the Tour/Road Glides) look cool as anything else and have a good following.

I think the Road Glide actually handles better on the back roads than a batwing because you do not have the weight of the front fairing on the handlebars. I had a 2008 Street Glide and thought it was a great bike, but decided to sell it last fall. This spring I was trying to decide between the 2010 Road Glide and the 2009 or 2010 street glide. The oem windshield on the Road Glide is a joke. I purchased a 10" windvest windshield and installed it on the Road Glide and the took it on another demo ride, what a difference. There was still air hitting me, but it was not unbearable. I decided to purchase the Road Glide. I was looking for something differant. Months later I am very happy with my purchase. Your best bet is to demo the bikes. I had asked the same question. I got alot of helpful advice, but I started to second guess myself because of all the information. Everyone has their own opinion. You can even rent one for a day. My only advise is if you are serious buy a windshield and install it on your demo ride.

Its kind of like sex, sorta. Your big brother can tell you about it. But up until you take the first plunge, it is all theory and opinion. You don't really need any help. Just do it. You will be happy as a dead pig in the sunshine.
