No reason to feel like that. I have been there. You do a bunch of work on something and when it all goes back together it doesn't work. You automatically assume its related. No way it can be coincidence...lol. But at least you were man enough to come back and tell us it was the battery and it all worked out. Now get out and ride

You my friend are not the first one to not listen to what was said, it is human nature that if we have an idea of what is wrong, we get "trapped" in our way of thinking. That and it is like stopping to ask for directions when we really don't have a clue of how to get there but think we can figure it out!

This also happened to me so I keep a battery in my windshield pouch and when this happens and it will, I will have a battery to change. I am not so enthusied that I change my battery every 8 months as some do.

Ditto on dropping a spare battery in your tour pak or just make a habit of changing the out every spring so as not to worry. I've got a spare battery w/me all the time and two hanging by my key fob in the house.

Definitely a good idea (schedule) - I change my vehicle remote(s), home detectors (smoke/CM) & garage keypads all in Oct during fire prevention week. It's my annual reminder & probably a little of the old/former Firefighter in me. Cheers!
