Default Got my bike tuned today !!!!

It finally warmed up enuff to get my ultra tuned after installing my Wood Cams ,I think the numbers are good, Could be better but didnt have the money to get the full meal deal.

Anyway the numbers are as follows:

Old 12-4-09
torque /// horse power
3.5 k rpm 63.91 /// 42.70
4k rpm 68.01 /// 51.91
4.5k rpm 67.41 /// 57.91
5k rpm 65.71 /// 62.61

new 2-19-10

torque /// horse power
3.5k rpm 76.12 + 12.21 /// 50.84 + 8.14
4k rpm 76.32 + 8.31 /// 58.31 + 6.40
4.5k rpm 73.93 + 6.52 /// 63.48 + 5.57
5k rpm 70.74 + 5.03 /// 67.56 + 4.95

so anyway thats the numbers for doing a partial 95ci build , Is only a matter of time before I go ahead and bite the bullet and get the jugs bored and new wiseco pistons...

Not sure what you mean by "full meal deal." Let us know how it rides, mileage, etc.

If the mileage is poor, say 32 mpg or worse, check the oil dipstick for the smell of gasoline because that will indicate the tune is far too rich, contaminating the oil, and washing the cylinders causing excessive wear.

my meaning of the full meal deal would be boring out the jugs, porting the heads, new wiseco pistons and if I really wanted to send it over the top get a new fuel system...
The torque is awesome , horse power is good , milage I'll have to let you know !!!

something is wrong. you are getting 76/67 with a wood 6? There is no way it should be that low. I am guessing it is stock 88 with stock compression. If so do yourself a huge favor and pull the heads and have them decked to raise compression and put in a .030 head gasket. get the compression up around 10 to 1 and be at 100/90 or so.

that is correct sir, it is a stock 88 and I was thinkin the same thing about it the numbers being low. I will be doing as you suggested as far as getting the heads done and if im not mistaken it should be 10:1 .
From what Ive been told the 05 model was the worse year for torque and hp , But the kinks were worked out for the 06 model.

Give someone like bigboyz or GMR (they both post here) a call and they can do your heads for very reasonable set up to work with your cam. That is a great cam but needs more compression to perform properly. Oh and if you do end up going 10 to 1 be prepared to buy some new shirts because your arm length is going to be stretched a bit .

correction...now that I understand like the others....even with the woods cams, he should be +5 on the horses and +10 on the torque....The tune is off for sure with the bad mileage....and or the rings have been greased from a poor tune or poor break in.

Who did your tune? I just installed my Wood 6 yesterday. I'm wanting to get mine tuned. Mind me asking what it cost you?

That's Doc Slicks. I've heard a few guys say they were happy with them. How long did the tune take? I'd be real interested to know what kind of mileage you end up with as well.
