How many of you guys use a back rest?
I have an 08 SG and IMO waited way too long to get my backrest. Now that it is mounted, I can't believe the difference. My lower back is locked in and when I corner, I feel as though I'm one with the scoot, just a lot more stable. I've always had lower back problems, and I can ride all day with no ill effects. I highly recommend it!

The OP was talking about his LOWER back. I sure hope your lower back isn't being supported by those 36 c's!!!

I use one and if I didn't I would be in extreme pain after 20 minutes. I can ride all day long....and it also helped to get rid of a Corbin seat too.

By the way, I'm planning on getting a backrest myself this Spring. Which one did you get?

I don't know. I have seen a few that would support a rider's lower back.

He's either dating a midget or a 70 year old woman. I mean no disrespect to 70 year old midgets either.

I love mine and have had them on all my scoots. They make a world of difference when riding long distance.

...... i've a similar set up & that's the only time I pull my backrest off ! they don't do squat for the lower back, but sure give a nice shoulder massage
