My last two bikes don't go anywhere without the backrest. It's essential, especially if you've had back surgery like I have. Get it, you won't regret it!

Love the back rest, helped keep me on the bike when I was rearended going down the road. Down fall was concentrated the impact in to the lower back and ended up with a lot of strained muscles in the lower back.

I highly recommend it!
I'll second that. Can't ride without it for longer than 30 minutes...

Ruptured disc in L4 and L5 make the adjustable backrest essential for me. Scoot never leaves the garage without it except for service.
First month I had the bike I thought my back was gonna break after an hour or two, kept having to stop and stretch, was a real pain in the a$$.

have the stock HD ULTRACLASSIC seat with an adjustable back rest (waste of money for the adjustable one, but it was on the bike when I got it. Once you get it set to fit you, you never move it anyway, don't need to be "adjustable, IMHO) That being said, I'd never leave home without it.

If my OL ever slapped me upside the head for leaning back into her, she'd be the very next thing on the bike to be replaced!

Backrest is a must for me for anything over an hour ride!
