Have a Corbin seat and Corbin backrest, by far the most pleasurable mod I have invested in since buying my FXR2 in 1999. Easily removed if a set of 38Ds jump on behind me :<)

+1 on backrests. I would not ride without it now.

I never realized how much I slouched over while riding until I got one. I do a lot of bicycle riding, so my back is pretty healthy. I have never had problems with my back while riding motor scooters, but now I enjoy the ride even more with the rest. Great support and less fatigue. I suggest to everone to try one before back pain starts.

I took two trips of over 2000 miles in the last two years, one with and one without the rest. I was fine without, but with the rest, way better. I would not want to ride without it anymore.

I tried riding with a backrest last year. I had a Mustang solo and their backrest. I never did get used to the feeling that I was trapped. If something happens and I have to get off quickly, I don't want a backrest getting in my way. I had it on for a couple of hour plus rides, and didn't notice any additional comfort. I'm not against additional comfort

I know have a minority view, but I've been riding so many years without one, I just don't see ever getting used to one.

Either way, I love it and adds alot of extra miles to the day.

Ride safe and have fun.
I have the standard backrest, I can't tell if the screw adjustment does anything. I would like to move the pad back an inch, is that what the screw is for ?

thanks

Mine is the standard, and yes, the screw in the back moves it in and out. I actually had to bend the backrest arms back a little to get a comfortable spot, then fine tuned with the screw.

I have been riding with a backrest since 2005. I had one on my Indian, when I changed out the stock seat and put on a Corbin...then When I bought my '07 UC, I had an Adjustable Rider Backrest put on.

After the accident, the '07 UC was totalled. I bought an '09 UC in March 2009 and that was the first item on my list of add-on's for the new scoot.

Without a back-rest, the number of hours I could ride would be a lot less.

I have the HD adjustable. I had to "modify" it some (put it in a vice and double bend the stem) because I felt like it pushed me too far forward. Works great now. The only time mine comes off is when the OL gets on!
