Have two backrests, one for the Sundowner two up, one for the Mustang solo. Wouldn't ride around the block without one.

Haven't read all the posts to this thread but I'll add this.
I've had a backrest for nearly 2 years and can't imagine riding any distace without one.
Relly helps on long rides.

guess, after reading this thread, i'm now sold on getting a backrest.
my back has been hurtin the last couple of years and i think maybe this will help on future rides.
looks like the adjustable is the way to go.

Usually no back rest, but for trips, I use this one:

I just installed one on my SG along with the Corbin seat and love it. Under hard acceleration I have more control over the bike.

I have one and love it for longer rides. I don't use it when I'm just riding around town. If I don't put it on for a 60 mile trip, I usually wish I had.

Backrest was the best addition I made to my bikes. Without them I'm hurting after 30 miles or so. Enjoy!
