Dissapointed with new LOW 2010 ultra seat part#52164-10
Big dissapointment
I picked up my new 2010 low ultra seat part number 52164-10 at local dealer today and measured height with it installed on my 09 ultra sitting on a lift table and level. My bike has been lowered 1 inch front and rear. It measured 28.50 inches tall.My new stock 09 ultra seat measured 28.75 inches. The lowest seat I run without my tourpack is a 08 street glide seat(which has no hump in the pan because they started that in 09) measures 27.25 inches.Sitting on both the 09 seat and the 2010 seal the 09 seat feels lower to me.My new seat will go back to the dealer tomorrow!!

I am wondering if you could take a couple of measurements of the seat pan for us? I would like to compare the nose of the "low" to a stock seat, specifically if you were sitting on the seat where the thigh area would be, this is supposed to be narrower so your feet aren't as spread apart.
thanks
thanks

Well, since no one's mentioned it.....keep in mind that your '09 seat is well broken in by now which means it's also partly "flattened" out a little...you know what I'm trying to say. The new seat probably IS going to measure a little higher at first.....until it's broken in too. Just something to consider. The overall comfort is far better than the first seat they had IMO. I'm also 5'8" with a 30" inseam, but I don't have trouble flat footing the bike at a stop either. I think the seat change is a definite positive, but like any seat out there it won't work for everyone. Hopefully you find one that fits.
