The initial description is confusing but the features tab says, "Compatible with iPodŽ shuffle, 3rd generation, 4GB" which is what you are looking for

i've forgotten a few times and took off....... just to have to stop and get the ipod started
but it works.....

i use the headphones...... hit play, turn it up, unplug headphones, plug it in to aux jack....... what sux is when you for get to hit play or forget to turn it up.... you got to dig out the headphones and start over......

Yes this is true...... I have thought about getting it......but I am too lazy.... then I screw it up and swear when i get home I will order it....... and I don't LOL

Just bought an ipod shuffle 2gb, also bought a aux cable 1.8m, plugs right in aux port and comes in loud and clear. It works great this thing is so small easy to carry with you. I can also carry it with me in the truck radio.

It solves both problems and the Velcro idea for a holder is spot on. As light as these are you won't ever need more.
