JIMTJR, did you map or flash your sled after install? I ask because I too just installed a nightstick. The dealer, and others from this site have said no mapping needed, but I noticed my pipes are getting more and more blue under the heat shields. Common on the 10's ? I only have 300 miles on the clock

All I did so far was the muffler, just wanted a little more sound. (And with the CAT that's all I got,, at idle it's only a tad louder... if you "Get on it" a little, it's sounds good,, deeper throaty sound.
I am likely going to do the AC and gut the CAT then get a tuner of some kind. (I'll research that when I get ready to)
But for now it required no map or anything for just the muff, the ECM is supposed to make adjustment enough... (I am going to keep my eyes on the head pipes, someone posted that theirs is starting to color,, which is a sign of too rich, I THINK,,, can't remember for sure)

High heat would cause the blueing, and is a result of being too lean. It's all because of the EPA regs. Fatten it up (richen the mixture) and it will run better and cooler.
BTW, just put the night stick on mine recently. Have the stage1 to put on, then I'll do the fiddling with the a/f mixture to get it right. I got the same plan as you.
