Like I said, I can't speak from personal experience, but I've read some people say the handling sucks, and others that swear by it. So it's kind of a toss-up. As stated above in this thread, if you go with a larger front wheel and then do the lowering kit, it makes sense that you're putting the bike's original geometry back to (almost) stock.

I didn't notice any discernible change in the way the SG handled, but I sure as hell noticed the looks it has gotten. SWEET.

I dig biker girls, btw.

Intially, I had to lower my front suspension by 1" to compensate for the larger wheel/tire change to the frame geometry - would feel a little woobly when coming to a stop. I am also using the thicker 120-21" tire up front, instead of a 90-21" tire. Rides great now and my fuel gauge imore accurate as the frame is now level.

I was thinking about keeping my 18 inch wheel. Then I read this post and it makes me think about saving and getting a 21 inch. This board it great, but it costs me $$ lol

I bought a set of renegade wheels used 21 ,18 in. They do change the handling a lot, but for me I like it.It seems to stick better at cruising speeds but very manageable at lower speeds.Looks great too. 08 STREET GLIDE.

I had a Deuce before with a 21 inch wheel. I liked how the bike handled. Is the steering more responsive? Did it change in a positive way?

Default 21'' wheel on Road King

A 21 '' wheel should fit with no problem. Use a 120-70-21 and you wont have any issues. I run the avon cobra's front and rear but not to sure that i'm satisfied with them yet. Anyone got another tire that they would go with?http://rustedwrenchcustoms.com

Sure is. Didn't do the 18 because I didn't want it raising the rear of the bike as well. The bike handles fine with the 16/21 combo. I will be replacing the 16" stocker with a 16" that matches the front in about a week.
